Leah Seren James is 17 years old and loves to sing and entertain.

To date she has performed alongside Bryn Terfel, in Capetown, South Africa and Sian Cothi at WMC, with Welsh children’s choir, ‘Only kids Aloud’. She has also performed with Brian Blessed at St David’s Hall, Cardiff.

Leah has gained distinctions in Music Theatre (grades 1 -8) with London College of Music, and hopes to pursue a career in Musical Theatre, on the West End Stage. She has performed in various stage productions, from a young age, where she has taken on lead roles and also enjoyed being part of the chorus.  Whilst performing with various amateur drama groups Leah has taken on many lead roles, including ‘Annie’ from the musical “Annie”,  ‘Gabriella’ in “High School Musical”,  ‘Eponine’ from ‘Les Miserable’ and her latest role was ‘Jasmine’ in “Aladdin”. Her dream is to play ‘Kim’ in Miss Saigon. She is currently attending College, studying Performing Arts.

Leah enjoys performing all genres of songs and particularly enjoys performing for charity concerts, birthday parties and weddings. She also loves karaoke events.

She has recorded a demo EP at ‘The Henhouse Recording Studio’, entitled ‘In Retrospect’, which appeals to a variety of age groups as the songs are from the 60’s and 70’s and are well known by most age groups. As a result she is regularly played on WA12 radio station, Radio Tircoed, Northern Quarter Radio and BGFM Radio.

In 2017 Leah gained a place at Wales’ largest talent competition ‘The WelshFactor’ final where she was awarded runner up in her age category. As a result Leah joined the local clubs and pubs circuit, where she is gaining invaluable stage experience.  Her vocal talent is very much appreciated by the club and pub members and hospitality staff. She is often asked back to entertain at the various locations.

Along with a duet partner Leah bagged first prize at ‘The Welshfactor’ final in the duet category in 2018.

She is hoping for a win in the solo category in 2019.
